Apply and Register for Foundation Course New

Application Process

Admission into the Foundation Course is by application only and registration is limited. Applicants must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, which may be in any field of study. Exceptions may be made for those with 3-5 years of experience in a medical or allied health field such as medicine, nursing, physical therapy, health education, exercise physiology, psychotherapy, or nutrition.

There is no fee to apply to the Foundation Course. There is one application for the Foundation Course regardless of which course format you choose— In-Person or Online. To complete the application, please have a copy of your current resume or curriculum vitae readily available for upload. Click here to access the online application. Please allow two weeks for Duke Integrative Medicine to review your application and notify you of the acceptance decision. You will be notified of the acceptance decision via e-mail, at the email address you provided on your application. Application acceptances are valid for a period of 18-months from your date of acceptance.

Registration Process for Accepted Applicants

Foundation Course registration is limited to accepted applicants.

Registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and require payment in full. Acceptance into the course without registration and payment does not reserve your place in the course. We will offer a waitlist for courses that fill to maximum capacity prior to the registration deadline.

Registration is available online or by phone. To register online, click on the appropriate registration button located in the blue Program Information box. If you prefer to register by phone, please call 919-660-6826 or 866-313-0959 during business hours and we would be happy to assist!

The course registration fee is $4,440.00 regardless of which format you choose— In-Person or Online.

Those that register by the noted early registration deadline qualify for a 10% discount.

Duke Affiliates qualify for a 15% discount at the time of their registration. This discount is not eligible to be combined with the early registration discount. Duke Affiliates are defined as Duke Employees, Duke Registered Volunteers, and Duke Students.

Standard Duke Integrative Medicine cancellation policies apply.

Physicians: Duke University Health System Clinical Education & Professional Development designates this live activity for 81.8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Partial credit is not awarded.

Nursing: Duke University Health System Clinical Education & Professional Development designates this live activity for 81.8 credit hours for nurses. Partial credit is not awarded.

Pharmacists: This activity is assigned Universal Activity (UAN) # for Pharmacists: 0851-0000-16-075-B04-P, and is accredited for 81.75 hours.  Partial credit is not awarded.

Note:  All target audience members are eligible to receive Joint Accreditation (JA) continuing education credits for this activity. No attendance certificates are issued for this course.
