Take Care: Free Community Whole Health Experiences!

February 18, 2025

TakeCare, a national initiative that invites people to take care of their Whole Health: Mind, Body, Spirit, and Community, has assembled a team of national leaders in health, healthcare, filmmaking, and communications to flip the script on how we think about health. Through education, community support, and highlighting how people have transformed their lives, TakeCare inspires a Whole Health movement for all.

TakeCare will offer free community opportunities to participate in TakeCare’s 2-hour Experiences at Duke Integrative Medicine in Durham, NC. We are currently scheduling Experiences for February and March, with dates starting as early as next week. Please let us know if you are interested and what dates and times you prefer. We will then schedule one of our National Whole Health Experts and local Durham Expert Trainers to deliver your Experience(s).

More about the TakeCare 2-hour Experience

  • The 2-hour Experience is designed to introduce larger audiences to TakeCare and Whole Health and to meet people where they are in their Whole Health journey.
  • Experiences introduce TakeCare’s definition of Whole Health—Mind, Body, Spirit, and Community—with you at the center and tools such as Pause. Notice. Choose. and TakeCare short films.
  • TakeCare Workbooks help participants work through meaningful questions—why they want their health, what obstacles are in their way, and how to achieve a personal goal. Participants are invited to set a short-term health goal using SMART action steps and goal setting, and they are encouraged to attend a 9-week peer group program to continue working on their Whole Health journey.
  • TakeCare National Whole Health Experts and TakeCare Durham Expert Trainers facilitate experiences.
  • TakeCare films and online resources are free and accessible on takecare.org.
